This policy explains what information CredPerk (operated by Perkio Technologies Private Limited, "CredPerk," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and — importantly — when and why we share it with third parties. There are two very different categories of data here, and we've kept them clearly separate below because they're handled differently.
If you create a CredPerk account to use the Wallet feature, we collect your email address, and optionally your name and profile picture (including via Google Sign-In, if you use that option). We use this to run your account and remember the cards you've added to your wallet. We do not sell this information.
This is the most sensitive data we handle, and we want to be direct about it. If you use CredPerk's "Apply Now" flow to apply for a credit card, we collect the information a bank needs to process that application, which includes:
We share this application data with the bank or card issuer you're applying to, so they can process your application — that's the entire purpose of collecting it, and we ask for your explicit consent to this sharing before your application is submitted. We do not share this data with any other third party beyond what's needed to process that specific application, except as required by law. If you separately opt in to marketing communications, that's a distinct, optional choice from the consent to share your data with the bank — we never bundle the two.
We also log the page you applied from and your IP address at the time of submission, for fraud prevention and to keep an accurate record of the application.
Like most websites, our servers log standard technical data (such as pages visited and browser/device information) to keep the site running reliably and understand how it's used. This isn't linked to your identity unless you're signed in.
We use cookies/session storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We don't use cookies to track you across other websites.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you provide, particularly application data given its sensitivity. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we treat this data with the seriousness it requires.
We retain application data for as long as necessary to process your application and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping and legal purposes, and account data for as long as your account remains active. You can request deletion — see Section 8.
Offers and "Apply" buttons across CredPerk link to banks', issuers', or merchants' own websites. Once you leave CredPerk, their privacy policy applies, not ours — we encourage you to review it.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion of your account or application data (subject to what we're legally required to retain) by contacting us — see below. If you're in India, this is in addition to any rights you have under applicable data protection law.
CredPerk is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
